ORDINANCE NO, 309 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISKING LA~D USE DISTRICTS OR ZONES REGULATING THE USES OF LAND AND BUILDINGS, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND REPEALING PARTS OF CON- FLICTING ORDINANCES The City Council of the City of Pleaeanton does ordain as follows: ARTICLE 1 ESTABLISHING ZONES 1ol This Ordinance is adopted to comply with Sections 65000 et seq, of the Government Code of the State of California and to provide the City of Pleasanton with a general plan and a precise zonin~ ordinance controll- ing use of land in the City of Pleasanton, 1,2 This Ordinance exercises the police pover of the City of Pleasenton to control growth and development expected in the City of Pleasanton, ARTICLE 2 ESTABLISHNENT AND DESIGNATION OP DISTRICTS 2,1 The Zoning Nap hereafter adopted divides the City into dis- tricts, designated as follows: A District - Agricultursl District R-E District - Residential Estate District R-1 District - Single family Residential District R-2 District - One and Two family Residential District ':' ~ R-G District - Garden Apartment Residential District '~" ~ C-O District - Administrative and Professional Office District ~" ighb ~. C-N District - Ne orhood Co~nercial Distr~ct ,;: C-C District - Cormunity Connnercial District ..o.9 ~' C-T District - Thoroughfare Commercial District :~; ~' " C-G District - General Commercial District ~i~ I District - General Industrial District I-P District - Industrial Park District 2.2 All territox7 hereafter annexed to the City shall be desig- nated on the above zones in the annexation ordinance. Said annexed ter- ritory shall retain that soninS classificstion until zoned other~ise. 2.3 No building or part thereof or other structure shall be erected, altered, added to or enlarged in any manner other then pro- vided for in the particular district in x~hich the building my be located. No land or premises shall be used in any manner other than those uses listed for that particular district.
