The Bay Area Air Quality Management District, in
partnership with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, have
announced the availability of incentive funds to retrofit collection vehicles
for fleets operating within the jurisdiction of the Air District. The incentive
funds are specifically targeted for emission devices to accommodate two gas
emissions. The City, in concert with Pleasanton Garbage Service, has
submitted an application requesting $31,500 to retrofit three collection
vehicles for this first implementation phase. As part of the application
process, the City is required to submit a resolution authorizing the submittal
of the application and authorizing the implementation of the retrofit to the
vehicles, if the application is approved.

SR:05:022
