Review and Allocate Housing and Human Services Grant Funds for Fiscal Year <br />2023/24 <br /> <br />Recommendation: Review and allocate housing and human services grant funds for fiscal year <br />2023/24. <br /> <br />Recreation Manager, Jay Ingram, provided an overview of the item. <br /> <br />Chair Powers opened the meeting for agency presentations advising representatives they would <br />have three minutes to speak. <br /> <br />Presentations were received from the following: <br />Wishing Well, Inc. / No One Should Sleep Hungry <br /> (Speaker: Reena Jadhav) <br />Tri-Valley Haven / Shiloh Rebuild <br />(Speaker: Christine Dillman) <br />Sunflower Hill / Support for Adults with Developmental Disabilities <br />(Speaker: Jen Lenard-Benson) <br />Partners for Change Tri-Valley / Education & Mentorship Program for Poverty Alleviation <br />(Speaker: Terri Malono) <br /> Open Heart Kitchen / Senior Meal Program <br /> (Speaker: John Bost) <br /> Hope Hospice / Grief Support Services and Volunteer Support Services <br /> (Speaker: Jennifer Petley) <br /> Hively / Family Resource Center and Workforce Development – Additional Childcare Spaces <br /> (Speaker: Candida Duperroir) <br /> Axis Community Health / Triage Nurse <br /> (Speaker: Liz Perez-Howe) <br /> <br />Commissioners asked questions of agency representatives pertaining to: <br /> <br /> The missions and goals of an agency <br /> How funds allocated would be used <br /> The number of Pleasanton residents that would be served <br /> Whether funding would be used to pay salaries <br /> How their organization collaborates with other organizations <br /> If volunteers are used to provide services <br /> The marketing and advertising used for their services and programs <br /> Goals and plans for expanding programs and services. <br /> <br />Chair Powers closed the meeting for agency presentations and requested commissioners <br />discuss and consider all the funding request applications and make a recommendation for the <br />allocation of Housing and Human Services Grant Funds for Fiscal Year 2023/24.
