<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-75 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />SUMMERFIELD SUITES DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, INC. FOR DESIGN <br />REVIEW APPROVAL AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-81-30-65D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Summerfield Suites Development Company, Inc. has applied for design review <br />approval to allow the construction of two hotels, consisting of a I 28-unit suite <br />hotel (89,578 square foot Summerfield Suites Hotel) and a I 13-unit suite hotel <br />(49,179 square foot Sierra Suites Hotel) on 6.24 acres ofland (Site 13F) in the <br />Hacienda Business Park located at 5955 Inglewood Drive (Northeast Corner of <br />Chabot and Inglewood Drives); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I1C-O (Planned <br />Unit Development - Industrial, Commercial and Offices) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 9, 1996, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is within the scope of the Environmental Impact Report <br />prepared in conjunction with the PUD approval for the entire Hacienda Business <br />Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project meets or exceeds <br />all applicable requirements ofthe design guidelines established for Hacienda <br />Business Park. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD-81-30-65D, the application of Summerfield <br />Suites Development Company, Inc., for design review approval to allow the <br />construction of two hotels, consisting of a 128-unit suite hotel (89,578 square foot <br />Summerfield Suites Hotel) and a 113-unit suite hotel (49,179 square foot Sierra <br />Suites Hotel) on 6.24 acres ofland (Site 13F) in the Hacienda Business Park <br />located at 5955 Inglewood Drive (Northeast Corner of Chabot and Inglewood <br />Drives), subject to the conditions shown on Exhibit "C," attached hereto and made <br />part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
