<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-70 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF BRANAGH DEVELOPMENT <br />FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-96-125 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Branagh Development has applied for design review approval to construct a <br />13,768 square foot, two-story, mixed-use building consisting of an approximately <br />6,583 square foot first floor for retail space and an approximately 7,085 square <br />foot second floor for eight apartment units located at 349 Main Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial), Downtown Revitalization, <br />Core Area Overlay District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of September II, 1996, the Planning <br />Commission, after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application, approved the <br />negative declaration for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project will provide an <br />opportunity to fulfill some objectives for the Downtown Revitalization Plan and <br />that the architectural style of the proposed building would be compatible with the <br />architectural character of Downtown. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case Z-96-125, the application of Branagh Development for design <br />review approval to construct a 13,768 square foot, two-story, mixed-use building <br />consisting of an approximately 6,583 square foot first floor for retail space and an <br />approximately 7,085 square foot second floor for eight apartment units located at <br />349 Main Street, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto <br />and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
