<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-49 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING THE CITY PURCHASE OF AN APPROXIMATELY 35,000 <br />SQUARE FOOT SITE FOR A PROPOSED FIRE STATION IS IN CONFORMANCE <br />WITH THE PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has requested confirmation that the proposed City purchase <br />of an approximately 35,000 square foot site for a proposed fire station is in <br />conformance with the Pleasanton General Plan and with the current PUD <br />Development Plan of the site located between Del Valle Parkway and the Arroyo <br />Del Valle, approximately 250 feet westerly of Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for these properties is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C (Commercial) <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed meeting of June 26 1996, the Planning Commission after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this matter, recommended approval of the proposed <br />negative declaration prepared for the City of Pleasant on's proposed Fire Station <br />No. Four; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed City purchase of an <br />approximately 35,000 square foot site located between Del Valle Parkway and the <br />Arroyo Del Valle, approximately 250 feet westerly of Bernal Avenue, for a <br />proposed fire station is in conformance with the General Plan and is consistent <br />with the existing zoning designation for the site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section I <br /> <br />Finds that the proposed City purchase of an approximately 35,000 square foot site <br />located between Del Valle Parkway and the Arroyo Del Valle, approximately 250 <br />feet westerly of Bernal A venue, for a proposed fire station is in conformance with <br />the General Plan and is consistent with the existing zoning designation for the <br />site. <br /> <br />Section 2 <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
