<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-48 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON'S PROPOSED FIRE STATION <br />NO. FOUR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has requested confirmation that the proposed City purchase <br />of an approximately 35,000 square foot site for a proposed fire station is in <br />conformance with the Pleasanton General Plan and with the current PUD <br />Development Plan of the site located between Del Valle Parkway and the Arroyo <br />Del Valle, approximately 250 feet westerly of Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for these properties is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C (Commercial) <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 26, 1996, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br />negative declaration prepared for the City of Pleasant on's proposed Fire Station <br />No. Four; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated <br />June 20, 1996, and received the recommendations of staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the <br />opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with <br />the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that approval of the proposed project would not <br />have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br />
