<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-42 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF WADE MCCLURE (FOR <br />W ALMART STORES, INC.) FOR A MAJOR MODIFICATION TO AN APPROVED <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN (PUD-85-8-5D), AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />PUD-85-8-5D-lM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Wade McClure (for WalMart Stores) filed an application for a minor <br />modification to an approved development plan (PUD-85-8-5D) to allow the <br />installation of a logo sign (for McDonald's restaurant) on the front facade of a <br />building where no additional signage was permitted by the PUD sign program for <br />the WalMart Store located at 4501 Rosewood Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD - MCOIPD (Planned Unit Development - Mixed <br />Commercial Office Industrial Planned Development) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 2, 1996, the Zoning Administrator approved the application for the <br />minor modification; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, and appeal was filed <br />by a member of the Planning Commission wiith the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 12, 1996, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations ofthe <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed sign was inappropriate for <br />the site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section I <br /> <br />Denies Case PUD-85-8-5D-IM, the application of Wade McClure (for WalMart <br />Stores) for a major modification to an approved development plan <br />(PUD-85-8-5D) to allow the installation of a logo sign for McDonald's restaurant <br />on the front facade of a building where no additional signage was permitted by the <br />PUD sign program for the WalMart Store located at 4501 Rosewood Drive. <br />
