<br />Resolution No. PC-96-34 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of the sub-committee work, the Steering Committee reviewed <br />the various recommendations with the purpose of coordinating them and resolving <br />potentially conflicting recommendations between sub-committees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff then revised the General Plan based upon the Steering Committee <br />recommendations and prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report, dated <br />January 31, 1996, a fiscal analysis, and an alternatives report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Assembly and Steering Committee then reviewed the General Plan update <br />prior to review and recommendation by the Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted public hearings on the 1996 Pleasanton <br />General Plan update on Aprill, 1996, and April 15, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission discussed the 1996 Pleasanton General Plan update at <br />meetings on April 29, 1996, May 6, 1996, May 8, 1996, and May 13, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the Final Environmental Impact Report <br />for the 1996 Pleasanton General Plan update, had found it complete and in <br />compliance with CEQA, and has recommended that the City Council certify it. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council adopt the Draft 1996 Pleasanton General Plan, <br />January 31, 1996, with the changes set forth in Exhibit 1. <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council adopt the Finding Concerning Significant <br />Impacts, as set forth in Exhibit 2. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council adopt the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting <br />Plan, as set forth in Exhibit 3. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Recommends the City Council adopt the Statement of Overriding Considerations <br />and the Findings Regarding Project Alternatives, as set forth in Exhibit 4. <br /> <br />Section 5: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />"------.------.--~--,.- ,,--.--'-'- <br />
