All utilities required to serve any existing or proposed development on-site shall be <br />installed underground, unless otherwise determined by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />59. The design of the water supply and sanitary sewer systems shall be subject to the review <br />and approval of the City Engineer. <br /> <br />60. Electric power distribution, gas distribution, communication service, Cable television, <br />and any required alarm systems shall be installed underground in a joint utility trench <br />unless otherwise specifically approved by the City Engineer or Director of Building <br />Inspection for on-site. <br /> <br />On-Site Operations <br /> <br />61. All existing wells on the site shall be removed or sealed, filled and abandoned pursuant to <br />Alameda County Ordinance 73-68, prior to the start of grading operations unless Zone 7 <br />retains specific wells for observation wells, or special approval is obtained from the City <br />Engineer for temporary use of an existing well for construction water. Any wells <br />designated for abandonment or any wells, encountered during construction, are to be <br />destroyed in accordance with a permit obtained from Zone 7. <br /> <br />62. All existing septic tanks or holding tanks shall be removed or sealed, filled, and <br />abandoned, pursuant to the requirements of the Alameda County Department of Health <br />Services. <br /> <br />63. The developer's contractor(s) shall obtain an encroachment permit from the City Engineer <br />prior to moving any construction equipment onto the site. <br /> <br />64. Any damage to existing street improvements during construction on the subject property <br />shall be repaired to the satisfaction ofthe City Engineer at full expense to the developer. <br />This shall include slurry seal, overlay, or street reconstruction if deemed warranted by the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br />65. The haul route for all materials to and from this development shall be approved by the <br />City Engineer prior to the issuance of an encroachment permit. <br />
