Introduce an ordinance amending Title 20 and Title 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code to adopt by reference the 2025 Edition of the California Code of Regulations <br />Title 24 Parts 1-12, including the 2024 International Building, Existing Building, <br />Residential, Fire, Wildland-Urban Interface, Property Maintenance, and Swimming <br />Pool and Spa Codes; the 2024 Uniform Plumbing and Mechanical Codes; the 2023 <br />National Electrical Code and the 2025 California Green Building Standards Code <br />Recommendation: Introduce Ordinance No. 2299 updating various chapters within <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code Title 20 and Title 18 concerning the adoption of the <br />2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code (Title 24 c.c.r.), including by <br />reference the 2024 International Building, Existing Building, Residential, Wildland- <br />Urban Interface, and Fire Codes; the 2024 Uniform Plumbing and Mechanical <br />Codes; the 2023 National Electrical Code and the 2025 California Green Building <br />Standards Code (CALGreen). <br /> <br />4. Introduce an ordinance amending Chapter 18.106 of the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code regarding accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units, to <br />comply with State law [P25-0026] <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Find that the proposed amendment to the Municipal Code is statutorily <br />exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.17 and <br />categorically exempt per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />Guidelines Section 15303; and <br />2. Introduce Ordinance No. 2300, find the subject code amendment consistent <br />with the General Plan, and approve Case P25-0026, an amendment to the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code (PMC). <br /> <br />5. Introduce an ordinance amending Section 5.28.080 System of Assessments of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code, to permit changes to the manner in which the annual <br />assessment is levied within the Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement <br />District, and to levy the annual assessment for 2026 <br />Recommendation: Introduce Ordinance No. 2301 amending the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code Section 5.28.080 System of Assessments, to permit changes to <br />the manner in which the annual assessment is levied within the Downtown <br />Pleasanton Business Improvement District, and to levy the annual assessment for <br />2026.
