Ensure that concrete/gunite supply trucks or concrete/plasterers operations do not discharge wash water into street gutters or drains. h.) Construction access routes shall be limited to those approved by the City Engineer or Building Inspector and shall be shown on the approved grading plan. 66. The applicant shall install structural control, such as an oil/water separator, sand filter, or approved equal in the parking lot to intercept and pretreat storm water prior to reaching the storm drain. The design, locations, and a schedule for maintaining the separator shall be submitted to the City Engineer/Director of Building Inspection for review and approval prior to issuance of building permits. The structural control shall be cleaned at least twice a year: once immediately prior to October 1 and once in January. The applicant shall enter into a maintenance agreement for the oil/water separator with the City. 67. The trash enclosure area(s) shall be completely covered. An area drain shall be installed in the enclosure area which connects to the sanitary sewer. No other area shall drain into the trash enclosure; a berm shall be installed to prevent such drainage if found necessary by the City Engineer/Director of Building Inspection. 68. The applicant shall sweep or vacuum the parking lot and sidewalks a minimum of once a month and shall prevent the accumulation of litter and debris on the site. Corners and hard to reach areas shall be swept manually. If sidewalks and/or the parking lot are pressure washed, debris must be trapped and collected to prevent entry into the storm drain system. No cleaning agent may be discharged into the storm drain. If any cleaning agent or degreaser is used, wash water must be collected and discharged to the sanitary sewer, subject to approval of the Dublin-San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) 69. The restaurant shall include a contained area for cleaning mats, containers, and equipment. The wash area shall be covered or shall be designed to prevent runoff onto or from the area. The area shall be connected to the sanitary sewer, subject to approval by DSRSD, or shall be collected in a containment area and removed regularly by a disposal and recycling service. If connected to the sanitary sewer, a structural control such as a sand filter or oil/ water separator shall be used, and a sign shall be posted prohibiting the dumping of hazardous materials. Other methods may be used subject to the approval of the Director of Building Inspection. The applicant shall instruct employees to conduct all washing activities in this area. 70. The applicant shall work with staff to modifY the landscape bulb at the Chabot Drive driveway to enhance traffic safety.
