<br />Work on the alternative fire protection methods shan not begin until approved by the Fire <br />Chief <br /> <br />24. The Fire Chief and the Director of Building Inspection shan approve the number, type, and <br />location of an private fire hydrants. <br /> <br />25. All curbs located with seven foot, six inch (7' 6") radius of a public/private fire hydrant shan <br />be painted red, unless, modified by the Fire Chief Blue street "hydrant markers" shan be in- <br />staned for an fire hydrants per City of Pleasant on Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />26. All private driveways designated as fire lanes by the Fire Chief shan be maintained in accor- <br />dance with Articles 9 and 10 of the Uniform Fire Code which permits towing vehicles ille- <br />gany parked on the fire lanes. Fire lane curbs shall be painted red with "No Parking, Fire <br />Lane, Tow Away Zone" or "No Parking, Fire Lane, Tow Away Zone" signs shan be in- <br />stalled as required by the Vehicle Code. <br /> <br />Engineering Requirements: <br /> <br />27. All new utilities required to serve any existing or proposed development on-site shan be in- <br />stalled underground, unless otherwise determined by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />28. The paving section for the on-site driveway shan be designed on the basis of an R-Value <br />test and a traffic index to carry the anticipated traffic loads. This design shan be subject to <br />the approval of the Director of Building Inspection. The minimum paving section shan be <br />two inches (2") of asphalt concrete (AC.) on a six inch (6") asphalt base (AB.). The mini- <br />mum AC. pavement slope shall be one percent (1%). For pavement slopes less than one <br />percent (1 %), the surface runoff shall be carried in a concrete gutter to an acceptable point <br />of discharge. The minimum slope for concrete gutter shan be 0.5%. <br /> <br />29. The developer shall install street frontage improvements along Martin Avenue per Chapter <br />19.40.010 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. These <br />improvements shan include, but are not necessarily limited to, grading, roned-curb and gut- <br />ter, paving, storm drain, water facilities, street lighting, underground utilities, traffic control <br />devices, landscaping, and automatic irrigation systems. <br /> <br />30. The building owner/developer shall submit a final grading and drainage plan prepared by a <br />licensed civil engineer depicting an final grades and on-site drainage control measures, in- <br />cluding concrete-lined V-ditches, to protect all cut and fin slopes from surface water over- <br />flow.
