<br />h. During weeks in which there is a holiday, Contractor shall perform all work at all sites during <br />the remaining workdays of that week. <br /> <br />3. UTILITY WEED ABATEMENT <br /> <br />a. Except as noted in the “Utility Weed Abatement” map book, all locations labeled <br />“Industrial” including pump stations and water reservoir tank areas, shall be maintained in a <br />weed-free condition using pre- and post-emergent herbicides. In addition, any perimeter <br />fencing will be maintained in a weed-free condition 2 feet to the exterior of the fence. Any <br />weeds allowed to grow shall be removed from the site by the contractor. <br />b. Except as noted in the “Utility Weed Abatement” map book, all locations labeled “Bioswale” <br />shall be maintained in a broadleaf-free condition with the use of selective broadleaf <br />herbicides and shall be mowed to 5 inches once a year during the month of May on a <br />schedule approved by the Parks Division Manager. <br />c. Except as noted in the “Utility Weed Abatement” map book, all locations labeled as “V- <br />ditch” shall be kept free of debris at all times and shall be kept weed and brush free two (2) <br />feet from each side of the V-ditch. <br />d. Except as noted in the “Utility Weed Abatement” map book, all locations labeled as <br />“Roadside” shall be kept weed and brush free two (2) feet from the curb line. <br />e. Puncture vine, Tribulus terrestris, shall be eradicated from all weed abatement sites. <br />Puncture vine allowed to form seed shall be removed by hand from each site in a manner that <br />does not spread the seed. <br /> <br />4. STREET WEED ABATEMENT <br /> <br />a. Areas identified as “Street Median Hardscape” shall be maintained in weed-free <br />condition. <br />b. Except as noted in the “Street Weed Abatement” map book, areas identified as “Roadside” <br />shall be kept weed and brush free two (2) feet from the curb line. <br />c. Except as noted in the “Street Weed Abatement” map book, areas identified as “Freeway <br />Interchange” shall have bi-monthly litter and debris pick up. <br />d. Areas identified as “Annual Weed Abatement” shall be line-trimmed within four (4) inches of <br />the ground in the month of May. The annual schedule for line trimming shall be pre-approved by <br />the Parks Division Manager. At the direction of the Parks Division Manager, seasonal weather <br />variations may shift the work to the months of April or June. <br />e.
