B) Inspection and Permit Technician Services <br /> <br />1. Inspection Services <br />Hourly fee per Exhibit B for building inspection services covering building, plumbing, <br />mechanical, and electrical trades. <br /> <br />2. Permit Technician Services <br />Hourly fee per Exhibit B for in-house permit processing services. <br /> <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Services: <br /> <br />1. Code Enforcement: <br />When requested and under the direction of the Chief Building Official, Consultant shall <br />enforce the City Codes by inspection and when required investigation of complaints <br />regarding sub-standard building conditions and when necessary, prepare cases for citation <br />hearings, criminal proceedings in municipal court, and/or civil abatement proceedings. <br />Fees for such services shall be paid on a time and material basis at the hourly rate as <br />assigned for normal plan review work. <br /> <br />2. Emergency Preparedness: <br />Under the direction of the Chief Building Official or other authorized representative of the <br />City, the Consultant will assist the City of Pleasanton in emergency preparedness, building <br />damage assessment and emergency response. <br /> <br />3. Emergency Operations Assistance: <br />Consultant will maintain current skills in emergency response. Consultant hereby agrees <br />to the following terms and conditions in the event of a local or regional emergency: <br /> <br />a. Report into the City of Pleasanton Emergency Operation Center (EOC). Contract <br />personnel will make a reasonable effort to report to the Chief Building Official, <br />Permit Center or the City of Pleasanton EOC as soon as possible following a local <br />or regional emergency. <br /> <br />b. The Consultant shall provide contract personnel and Consultant resources available <br />for emergency response at the same hourly rates and conditions specified in this <br />Agreement. If City has a need for the consultant to work overtime in an emergency <br />event, the consultant shall be compensated for overtime per state law. <br /> <br />c. The CONSULTANT acknowledges that emergency response work may require <br />variations in work hours and assignments. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Duties Compensation: <br /> <br />Consultant shall perform other related activities and duties as requested by the City.
