IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> COUNTZ OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO, 284 <br /> <br /> Amending Ordinance No. 265 <br /> (City Administrative Officer) <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby ordain as follews: <br /> <br /> Section l. The Section 5 of Ordinance No. 265 is hereby amended to <br />rea~ as follows: <br /> <br /> Within thirty (30) days after his appointment, the City <br /> Administrative Officer shall recommend for Council <br /> approval his choice of one of the officers or department <br /> heads of the City to serve as City Administrative Offi- <br /> cer pro tempore during any temporary absence oildisability <br /> of the City Administrative Officer. The approval of the <br /> City Council and the appointment by the City Council of <br /> a City Administrative Officer pro tempore shall be record- <br /> ed in the minutes. In case of the absence or disability <br /> of the City Administrative Officer and his failure to <br /> choose a City Administrative Officer pro tempore, the <br /> City Council my designate some qualified city employee <br /> to perform the duties of the City Administrative Officer <br /> during the period of absence or disability of said City <br /> Administrative Officer, subject~ however~ to said person <br /> furnishing a corporate surety bond conditioned upon faith- <br /> ful performance of the duties required to be performed <br /> as set forth in Section 4 hereof, <br /> <br /> Section 2.
