Page 1 of 2 <br />Item #11 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> <br />July 15, 2025 <br />Library and Recreation <br /> <br />TITLE: APPROVE A TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH CITYSERVE OF THE TRI-VALLEY <br />FOR SENIOR SUPPORT SERVICES AT THE PLEASANTON SENIOR CENTER <br />FOR A TOTAL OF $160,000 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027 <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br />CityServe of the Tri-Valley has been providing senior support services, including care <br />coordination, home visits, companionship visits, and foot care at the Pleasanton Senior Center <br />since September 2022. CityServe has been an excellent partner over the past three years, and <br />staff recommend extending the service contract for two additional years at an annual cost of <br />$80,000 for a total of $160,000 through June 30, 2027. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve a two-year agreement with CityServe of the Tri-Valley for Senior Support Services at <br />the Pleasanton Senior Center for a total of $160,000 through June 30, 2027. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />CityServe of the Tri-Valley has been providing senior support services at the Pleasanton <br />Senior Center since September 2022, when Senior Support of the Tri-Valley disbanded. These <br />services include care coordination, home visits, companionship visits, and foot care. <br /> <br />The existing contract for senior support services expired June 30, 2025. In anticipation of this, <br />staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in April 2025. CityServe was the only <br />respondent and is qualified to provide the core senior support services of care coordination, <br />home visits, companionship visits and foot care at the Pleasanton Senior Center. <br /> <br />The Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 and 2026/27 budgets were adopted by City Council on June 17, <br />2025. Funding for this contract was adopted in the two-year budget at $80,000 per FY. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br />CityServe has been an excellent partner in providing senior support services over the past <br />three years, and staff recommend extending the service contract for two additional years. <br /> <br />CityServe has reported an average of 90 Caring Visitor visits to seniors per month, along with <br />more than 1,100 hours of Care Coordination over the past six months for seniors in <br />Pleasanton. Additionally, there is a growing demand for foot-care services.
