Public Projects. <br />The city council delegates authority to the city engineer, or their designee, to approve plans, <br />specifications, and designs and all amendments and addenda thereto, field changes through the <br />change order process and/or approval of as-built plans, for all public projects, public works <br />contracts and public improvements. <br />§ 2.34.030. Membership—Appointments. <br />B. Six commissioners shall be selected from the community at large. One commissioner shall <br />be selected from a recommendation made by the Pleasanton library leagueFriends of the <br />Pleasanton Public Library. The youth member shall be the minimum age of a high school <br />freshman. Commissioners, shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the ratification by <br />the city council, as provided in the adopted city council resolution establishing procedures <br />for appointments to boards and commissions. <br />§ 3.32.010. Contracting procedures for public projects. <br />The city shall procure public projects by force account, negotiated contract, purchase order, <br />informal bidding or formal bidding as required in accordance with the applicable dollar amount <br />limitations set forth under Section 22032 of the Public Contract Code, as it may be amended <br />from time to time. <br />A. Public projects of $60,000.00 or less may be performed by the employees of the city by <br />force account, by negotiated contract or by purchase order. <br />B. Public projects of $200,000.00 or less may be let to contract by informal procedures as <br />set forth in Section 22032 et seq., of the Public Contract Code. <br />C. Public projects of more than $200,000.00 shall, except as otherwise set forth in <br />Section 22032 et seq., of the Public Contract Code, be let to contract by formal bidding <br />procedure. <br />(Ord. 1523 § 1, 1991; Ord. 1916 § 1, 2005; Ord. 2120 § 1, 2015; Ord. 2185 § 1, 2018) <br />§ 7.20.050. Hearing—Schedule—Notice. <br />The city clerk shall, upon receipt of a certification under Section 7.20.030 of this chapter, <br />schedule a hearing before the city manager or his or her designate (hereafter "hearing officer"). <br />The hearing date shall be no longer than 10 business days from receipt by the city clerk of the <br />certification. The city clerk shall mail to the owner of the dog at least five business days prior <br />to the date set for hearing a notice in form substantially as follows: <br />NOTICE OF HEARING <br />REGARDING VICIOUS DOG <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Title 7 of the Municipal Code <br />of the City of Pleasanton, the Health Officer has certified your dog as being probably vicious. <br />Page 12 of 864
