IN THE CI~f COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PL~SANTON COUNTY OF .'~L~4EDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE #281 .~mending Ordinance #210 - Traffic, Porhibiting Trucks From Using~ Particular Highway The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby ordain as follows: Sec. 1. Ordinance No. 210, providing traffic regulations, is hereby amended to add a new article VIII-A, concerning truck routes, said article to read as follows: ~RTICLB VIII-A Sec. 1. All highways or portions of highways described in this article are Truck Routes. Appropriate signs shall be erected and maintai.ned indicating the direction truck traffic shall move at ever~~ intersection where movement in another direction is prohibited. When signs are erected, giving notice of such Truck Routes, no person shall operate ally motor truck upon any of the streets or high- wa, ys intersecting such Truck l{oute except that such motor trucks may be operated thereon for the purpose of delivering or picking up mat- erials or merchandise, and then only by entering such street or high- way at the intersection nearest the point of delivery or pic!cup and proceeding thereon no farther than the nearest Truck Route intersection thereafter. None of the prohibitions described heroin shall be in effect with respect to a~Lv street or highway unless nor until the appropriate signs described above have been erected. The term "motor truck" as used in this article shall be defined as described in Section 33, Division 1~ Chapter 1 of the California Vehicle Code. Seco 2.
