PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-53 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-97-03 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to remove the Civic Overlay District, Chapter 18.72, and to remove the Civic Overlay District designation from the Zoning Map; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of June 11, 1997, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment would not change the required conditions, regulations, or design standards for development proposals within the Civic Overlay District boundaries, and that the proposed amendment would help expedite the application review process for projects within the District. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOL YES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-97 -03, the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to remove the Civic Overlay District, Chapter 18.72, and to remove the Civic Overlay District designation from the Zoning Map. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE 11 TH DAY OF JUNE 1997 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: Commissioners Cooper, Kumaran, Lutz, and Wright Chair Barker None None
