Resolution No. 2025-022 <br /> Page 2 of 45 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2024, <br /> attached as Exhibit A. <br /> SECTION 2. Based on the Annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2024, the City <br /> Council determines that each type of military equipment identified in the Report has complied with <br /> the following standards: <br /> A. The military equipment identified in the Military Equipment Use Policy is <br /> necessary because there is no reasonable alternative that can achieve the same objective of <br /> officer and civilian safety; and <br /> B. The Military Equipment Use Policy will safeguard the public's welfare, safety, civil <br /> rights, and civil liberties; and <br /> C. The equipment described in the Military Equipment Use Policy is reasonably cost <br /> effective compared to available alternatives that can achieve the same objective of officer and <br /> civilian safety; and <br /> D. Prior military equipment use complied with the applicable equipment use policy <br /> (which included equipment now defined as military equipment) that was in effect at the time, or if <br /> prior users did not comply with the accompanying military equipment use policy, corrective <br /> action has been taken to remedy nonconforming uses and ensure future compliance. <br /> SECTION 3. The City Council renews the Military Equipment Use Policy. <br /> SECTION 4. City Clerk shall certify the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book <br /> of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on May 20, 2025. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on May 20, 2025, by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Balch <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Jo el n Kwo g, it Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> L., <br /> j <br /> Daniel G.
