<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-40 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF PATRICK CURRIN FOR A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, AS FILED UNDER CASE UP-96-08 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Patrick Currin has applied for a conditional use permit to allow the establishment <br />of a special events/conference center within an existing building located at 1780 <br />Foothill Road (the Bernal Adobe); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Planned Unit Development (PUD) - Low Density <br />Residential (LDR) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of May 14, 1997, the Planning Commission, <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefore, no environmental <br />document was prepared for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the three use permit findings could not <br />be made. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Denies Case UP-96-08, the application of Patrick Currin for a conditional use <br />permit to allow the establishment of a special events/conference center within an <br />existing building located at 1780 Foothill Road (the Bernal Adobe). <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
