Planning Process Status Report <br />2. Council Input Regarding Five Site Plan Alternatives for the "Central <br /> Area" of the 318-acre City-owned Bernal Property Phase II Specific <br /> Plan Area <br />3. Review and Approval of Bernal Community Park Phase I Sports Fields <br /> <br />PURPOSE: <br /> <br />To present a status report regarding the Bernal property planning process and <br />receive Council input regarding site plan alternatives for the "Central Area" of <br />Phase II Specific Plan, and Council approval of the Phase I Sports Fields. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Receive the planning process status update contained in this report. <br />2. Provide input to staff with regard to the primary elements of the five <br /> Phase II site plan alternatives (land use, site location, parking, vehicular <br /> access, noise, views, etc.) that the Council would like to integrate into <br /> the upcoming Unified Concept Plan. <br />3. Direct staff to forward the resulting Unified Concept Plan to the Civic <br /> Arts, Youth, Parks and Recreation, and Planning commissions for <br /> comments prior to returning to the Council for further direction. <br />4. Review the schematic design and project estimate documents, suggest <br /> any revisions, and authorize staff to negotiate a contract for development <br /> of actual construction documents with M.D. Fotheringham, Inc. <br /> <br />SR05:010 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
