The lot is <br />located at the Northwest comer of Vineyard AvenUe and Leona Place and is shown on the <br />Vicinity Map, Plate 1. A grading plan ~fled" PUD No. , Pleasanton Garbage S~rvice, Inc. <br />Proper~y," dated Jul)', 2004, by A1 Pascual & Associates Inc, was provided to us for use in ~his <br />investigation. <br />We understand the .subjec'~ lot is planned to be developed with one single-family residenc'-. An <br />about 6 feet high landscape mound with an about 6 feet high retiining wall is planned on the south <br />side of the building pad between the house and Vineyard Avenue. An about 3 feet high retaining <br />Wall is planned at the top of the existing slope on the northwest side of the building pad. Minor <br />ggading is anticipated. <br /> <br />PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br />The purpose of this investigation was to explore the subsurface conditions at the subject lot and <br />?rovide geotechnical recommendations for the proposed development. Our scope of services <br />consisted of review of public pertinent geologic and geotechnical literature and maps in our files, a <br />field exploration including the drilling, of three borings: laboratory testing; engineering analysis <br />based on the field and laboratory data and preparation of this report. <br /> _FIELD EXPLORATION AND LABORATORY TESTING <br />Our field exploration was p.efformed on Novexaber 4, 2004 by drilling three borings ran~ng <br />from 9V2 to 19 feet deep at the approximate locations shown on the Site ¥1an, Plate 2. Materials <br />encountered in the borings were visually classified in the field and logs were recto:deal. The <br />. bo~ing logs showing the soil classifications and sampling blow counts are shown on Plaies 3 <br />through 5. A Key ro the Boring Log Symbols is sho'~n on Plate 6.
