<br /> Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails <br />Committee <br />Agenda Report <br /> March 24, 2025 <br /> Item 4 <br /> <br /> <br />SUBJECT: REVIEW OF BICYCLE LANE INSTALLATION CONCURRENT WITH ROAD <br />RESURFACING PROJECTS <br /> <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br />The City of Pleasanton performs annual projects to resurface City streets to assure <br />conformance with City maintenance standards. After the street segments are resurfaced, new <br />lane striping must be installed to delineate vehicle travel lanes. As part of the lane restriping, <br />on-street bicycle lanes are installed where feasible and in accordance with the <br />recommendations of the Pleasanton Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. <br /> <br />In 2025, several of the city roadways are planned for resurfacing. Staff is providing the BPTC <br />with the striping plan sheets for Foothill Road, W Las Positas Blvd, Gibraltar Drive and Valley <br />Avenue that include the addition of revised bicycle facilities for review (see Attachment A) <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee receive this information and <br />provide feedback as necessary. <br /> <br />ACTION <br />No action required – informational item only. <br /> <br />Submitted by: <br /> Matt Nelson <br />Associate Traffic Engineer <br /> <br />Attachment: <br />1.
