HOURLY BILLING RATES
21
We propose the following hourly rates based on the scope of work. These rates are all-inclusive, i.e.,
base salary, fringe benefits, overhead, indirect cost surcharges, profit, etc. The cost per project will
vary depending on the project and the proposed strategic communications plan. If needed, once the
plan is approved we can create a more detailed cost breakdown for each project for the City’s
consideration and approval.
We are pleased to offer the City a 15 percent public sector discount. We assure you that we will make
all efforts to complete work efficiently and effectively while meeting and exceeding the City’s
expectations. All billings will include a detailed breakdown of the work completed.
Additional outside services, such as public opinion firms, printing and mailing services, photography,
etc., may be needed. The markup on all reimbursable expenses, i.e., the sub-organization fee, printing,
production costs, photography, equipment rental, mailing/postage, vehicle use, software
procurement, materials acquisition, etc., shall be individually negotiated and subject to the City’s
approval, but it may not exceed 10% in any case.
Our team has proposed key subcontractors we have successfully worked with in the past. However,
we are happy to select local, trusted providers that have worked with the City in the past and/or
have existing community relationships. This can help support local trust and community building by
hiring local businesses. The contract amount will be a maximum not-to-exceed amount of $100,000
per fiscal year. During the initial three (3) year contract term, there is no provision for rate increases
or adjustments. If an amendment to extend the contract expiration becomes necessary, hourly rate
increases/adjustments will be permitted in accordance with the annual increase stipulated each July 1
by the City’s Living Wage Ordinance.
City of Pleasanton Communication Engagement and Support/ PageEXHIBIT A

Docusign Envelope ID: D5CCEFD7-1822-4361-A0A3-2D69703D5CA2
