IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 38 ~' AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 309 (ZONING ORDINANCE) The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) is hereby amended by adding new sections to Articles 8 through 13 inclusive, to read as follows: 8.603 Electric and communication service wires to any new structures in any R-G District shall be placed underground from the nearest existing utility pole. Where compliance with the foregoing requirement is not economically and practicably feasible the City Engineer, upon application of the property owner, may permit different serving arrangements. The property owner shall be responsible for compliance with this section without expense to the City and shall make the necessary arrangements with the public utility involved. 9.603 Electric and communication service wires to any new structures in any C-O District shall be placed underground from the nearest existing utility pole. Where compliance with the foregoing requirement is not economically and practicably feasible~ the City Engineer, upon application of the property owner, may permit different serving arrangements.
