IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 38 ~' <br /> <br /> AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 309 <br /> (ZONING ORDINANCE) <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby <br /> ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) is hereby <br /> amended by adding new sections to Articles 8 through 13 inclusive, <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 8.603 Electric and communication service wires to any new <br /> structures in any R-G District shall be placed underground from <br /> the nearest existing utility pole. Where compliance with the <br /> foregoing requirement is not economically and practicably feasible <br /> the City Engineer, upon application of the property owner, may <br /> permit different serving arrangements. The property owner shall <br /> be responsible for compliance with this section without expense <br /> to the City and shall make the necessary arrangements with the <br /> public utility involved. <br /> <br /> 9.603 Electric and communication service wires to any new <br /> structures in any C-O District shall be placed underground from <br /> the nearest existing utility pole. Where compliance with the <br /> foregoing requirement is not economically and practicably feasible~ <br /> the City Engineer, upon application of the property owner, may <br /> permit different serving arrangements. The property owner shall <br /> be responsible for compliance with this section without expense <br /> to the City and shall make the necessary arrangements with the <br /> public utility involved. <br /> <br /> 10,607 Electric and communication service wires to any new <br /> structures in any C-N District shall be placed underground from <br /> the nearest existing utility pole. Where compliance with the <br /> foregoing requirement is not economically and practicably feasible <br /> the City Engineer, upon application of the property owner, may <br /> permit different serving arrangements. The property owner shall <br /> be responsible for compliance with this section without expense <br /> to the City and shall make the necessary arrangements with the <br /> public utility involved. <br /> <br /> 11. 606 Electric and communication service wires to any new <br /> structures in any C-C District shall be placed underground from <br /> the nearest existing utility pole.
