<br />Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes Page 2 November 14, 2024 <br />Chair Brown announced that Commissioner Berberich resigned from the Commission. <br /> <br />3. Introductions/Awards/Recognitions/Presentations <br /> <br />Owl Box Replacement at the Bernal Community Park - Eagle Scout Project Presentation - <br />The Scout, Aaditya Arora, and Parks Maintenance Supervisor - Brian Fiorio <br /> <br />MATTERS FOR THE COMMISSION’S REVIEW/ACTION/INFORMATION <br /> <br />4. Recommend City Council Accept Donation of Hope and Promise Mural and Frame <br /> <br />Rachel Prater, Recreation Manager, presented the item and answered questions from <br />commissioners. <br /> <br />Chair Brown opened the item for public comment. Les Duman provided comments and <br />answered questions from the commissioners. <br /> <br />Chair Brown closed the item for public comment. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Deckert/Hall to recommend City Council accept donation of Hope <br />and Promise mural and frame. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Alfaro, Deckert, Hall, Immadi, Vickers, and Chair Brown <br />Noes: None <br /> <br />5. Recommend City Council Adopt Field Rental Fees for Co-Sponsored User Groups <br /> <br />Aaron Bueno, Recreation Manager, presented the item and answered questions from <br />commissioners. Heidi Murphy, Director of Library and Recreation, answered questions from <br />commissioners. <br /> <br />Chair Brown opened the item for public comment. <br /> <br />There being no speakers, Chair Brown closed the item for public comment. <br /> <br />Commissioners provided comments. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Immadi/Vickers to recommend City Council adopt field rental fees for <br />Co-Sponsored user groups – Option 1. <br /> <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Vickers/Deckert to amend the motion and recommend for the rate to <br />be at 7.5%, 12.5%, and 17.5% cost recovery. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Commissioners Alfaro, Deckert, Hall, Immadi, Vickers, and Chair Brown <br />Noes: None <br /> <br />Page 4 of 27
