Historically, the Pleasanton area was located on <br />a vast marsh complex surrounded by seasonal wetlands <br />(see Figure 2-1) that supported a mix of open water ponds, <br />freshwater marsh, and dense willow thickets, which provided <br />habitat for a wide range of flora and fauna species.
