CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> �r �n mew �1�� t f 1 <br /> pLEASANTO,\.',_ MINUTES <br /> Tuesday, December 3, 2024 <br /> 7:00 PM <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Brown called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:00 <br /> p.m. from the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue. <br /> Councilmember Balch provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Absent: None. <br /> REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION - None. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Attorney Sodergren provided an oral summary regarding item 1 City Manager's <br /> employment contract to state that it is an amendment to the City Manager's <br /> employment contract to increase the severance pay and benefits from six to twelve <br /> months. There is also an amendment to item 1 to amend the proposed First <br /> Amendment to the City Manager's Employment Contract, Section 14 the second <br /> sentence is amended to read as follows: "This paragraph will not apply if the City <br /> terminates this Contract for conduct which is a felony, or which is a serious violation of <br /> the City's harassment policy or other established rule or regulation as set forth in the <br /> City's Human Resources and Administrative Policy Guide." <br /> Councilmember Testa requested to remove Item 1 on the consent calendar for further <br /> discussion. <br /> Mayor Brown moved item 1 to be heard before item 11 under the Public Hearings and <br /> Other Matters section of the agenda. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment.
