February 11, 2025 Joint Human Services Commission Meeting

On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Joint Human Services Commission for the
cities of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton will meet in Livermore to receive presentations
from each grant applicant and answer questions on their specific program or project. This
change was in response to applicant feedback on reducing the number of individual city
meetings each agency needed to attend.

For FY 2025/26, applicants' presentations will only be provided at the February meeting, not at
the March meeting.

March 5, 2025 Pleasanton Human Services Commission Meeting

At the March 5, 2025 meeting, the Human Services Commission will deliberate and approve
the FY 2025/26 HHSG recommendations for City Council consideration. In an agenda report,
staff will provide an overview, recommendations, and commissioners’ ZoomGrants online
ratings. To comply with the Brown Act for public meetings and provide transparency, the
Human Services Commission's scoring of the applications, including the overall commissioner
averages and the scores of individual commissioners for each agency, will be provided as a
table attachment to the March 5, 2025 agenda report (Attachment 4).

EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Housing and Human Services Grants are vital to the community. By supporting essential
services like affordable housing, healthcare, food stability, services for unhoused individuals
and families, domestic violence support, and job training, these funds help reduce disparities
and build long-term resilience. This ensures that residents have the opportunity to thrive and
contribute to a stronger, more inclusive community.

OUTREACH
The grant application cycle was announced on the City website and the Pleasanton Weekly.
Prior grant recipients were informed directly through emails.

STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
This action advances the following Citywide goals and strategies:

ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan
• Building A Community Where Everyone Belongs, Strategy 12 – Implement the results of
the Human Services Needs Assessment and streamline housing, human services, and
community services grant programs to increase program participation and access.
o Library and Recreation Department Strategic Plan 2019-2024
▪ Goal A. Programs, Plans, and Services – deliver exceptional programs
and services that meet the needs and interests of the community, Strategy
1 - Implement Council-approved plans, including the Eastern Alameda
County Human Services Needs Assessment.
