Title. <br /> This chapter shall be called the "Housing Opportunity Zone (HOZ) District" ordinance of the city of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> (Ord. 2272, 12/19/2023) <br /> § 18.38.020. Purpose. <br /> The purpose of this chapter is to enhance the public welfare and ensure further housing development <br /> attains the city's housing goals, including affordable housing,by increasing the production of residential <br /> units for all income levels. To ensure the remaining developable land is utilized in a manner consistent <br /> with the city's housing policies and needs, this HOZ district is created to allow new or expanded <br /> affordable housing development opportunities to all applicable parcels as specified in the city's Housing <br /> Element of the General Plan.
