EXHIBIT A <br />Program Scope of work <br /> <br />Effective February 7 of 2022, all new commercial drivers must complete the Entry Level Driver Training <br />(ELDT) curriculum as set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) <br />Regulations. The Public Works Department has classifications in the following divisions/workgroups <br />requiring a Class “A” Commercial Driver License: <br />• Fleet <br />• Parks <br />• Streets <br />• Signs <br />• Utilities <br /> <br />A. Behind the Wheel Training: <br />1. The consultant will provide instruction that meets the requirements of FMCSA Entry Level <br />Driver Training with a certified Class A Commercial Driving Instructor. <br />2. The instructor will be responsible for the set up and take down of the driving range every day. <br />3. The consultant will provide all training/guidance materials required to complete daily vehicle <br />inspections. <br />4. The consultant will prepare a map of selected routes for use during the on-road portion of the <br />training. <br /> <br />B. Driver Proficiency Training: <br />1. Driver proficiency training for existing commercial drivers will be provided by the consultant <br />as needed to meet regulatory requirements in Title 13 CCR 1229. <br /> <br />C. Program Documentation: <br />1. Training Records – The consultant will provide copies of all training and examination <br />documentation uploaded to the FMCSA administrative portal. <br />2. Proficiency Record- The consultant will provide copies of Driver Proficiency documentation <br />for all equipment each student is trained to use. <br />D. Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Examination: <br />1. The instructor will accompany student(s) on scheduled examination day in the commercial <br />motor vehicle used for the behind the wheel examination. <br />2. The instructor will be present to assist students with the check-in process at the DMV and have <br />copies of all necessary documentation to ensure each student is eligible for the examination. <br /> <br />E. Optional Services <br />1.
