EXHIBIT A – FY 24/25 <br />5. The CONTRACTOR shall perform a minimum of two (2) passes using the high-velocity <br />hydraulic cleaning method. The contractor shall clean the line until the line is ready for closed- <br />circuit television inspection that is acceptable to City. If a video and/or the capture images in the <br />database do not clearly show the pipe conditions due to inadequate clean-up or are of such poor <br />quality that the Engineer is unable to evaluate the condition of the sewer/storm or locate sewer <br />service connections, the CONTRACTOR shall re-televise that section of the pipe at <br />CONTRACTOR'S expense. <br /> <br />6. All water used in conjunction with the project improvements shall be metered and backflow <br />protected by a City owned device: (Potable or Recycled Device) <br />a. CONTRACTOR shall put in an application for a hydrant meter with the City of <br />Pleasanton Customer Service Center. The deposit and monthly water fees will be waived. <br />The contractor will be back charged for any damages that occur to the device. <br />b. The hydrant meter device is to be only used within the City of Pleasanton for use <br />within this contract. Any use outside of this contract without permission would result in <br />fees and possible termination of this contract. <br /> <br />7. The CONTRACTOR shall remove all sludge, dirt, sand, rocks, roots, grease and other solid <br />or semisolid material resulting from the cleaning operation at the downstream manhole of the <br />section being cleaned. Procedure for removing roots may include the use of mechanical equipment <br />such as rodding machines and bucket machines using root cutters and porcupines. Passing material <br />from manhole section to manhole section which could cause line stoppages, accumulations of sand <br />in wet wells, or damage pumping equipment, shall not be permitted. Chemical root treatment shall <br />not be used by the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />8. If the CONTRACTOR encounters a surcharging manhole (flow exceeds the diameter of <br />the sewer or storm pipe), the CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify the City of Pleasanton’s <br />Customer Service Center at (925-931-5500) and provide information on the location and cause of <br />the blockage. <br /> <br />9. The CONTRACTOR shall prevent contract operations from causing a stoppage or <br />overflow. In the event of a stoppage or overflow, the CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify <br />the City of Pleasanton’s Customer Service Center at (925-931-5500) The CONTRACTOR shall <br />remove the stoppage and contain and mitigate the overflow. Overflows shall be mitigated to the <br />City’s standards including property damage overflows that shall require cleaning and restoration. <br />All costs for damages occasioned by the overflow are the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />10. The CONTRACTOR shall use a 180-degree rotating head color camera for pipe sizes 6 <br />inch and larger in diameter. The color camera shall be operative under 100 percent humidity <br />conditions in the sewer or storm. The center of the camera lens shall be at or above the spring line <br />of the sewer/storm being televised. The camera and ancillary equipment shall not block the sewage <br />flow at any time. In cases where it will not be possible to remove a trapped camera by excavation <br />of a sewer or storm line, a tag line shall be attached to each end of the camera to allow the camera <br />to be pulled out from either end. If the camera gets stuck in the sewer or storm pipeline, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all costs involved in extracting it and shall extract the <br />equipment in a timely manner to avoid interruption to sewer or storm flow.
