  3 <br />Proposed Services <br />Knox Investigations provides a thorough Background Investigation process on all <br />candidates. <br />It will include, but is not limited to the below items: <br />1. Completed Background Investigation Report. The investigation narrative delves into <br />areas such as the candidate’s Driving History, Criminal Record Check, Credit History, <br />Education Verification, Military History, Relationships, Employment History, Family <br />Members/ Personal References and Residence History. The completed investigative <br />report is accompanied by the necessary supporting documentation. <br />2. All POST Background Investigations for Police Officers and Public Safety Dispatchers <br />are based on ten investigative dimensions. Each dimension is assessed as part of the <br />investigation. The investigative dimensions include: Integrity, Impulse Control/Attention <br />to Safety, Substance Abuse and Other Risk-Taking Behavior, Stress Tolerance, <br />Confronting and Overcoming Problems, Obstacles and other Adversity, <br />Conscientiousness, Interpersonal Skills, Decision Making and Judgment, Learning Ability <br />and Communication Skills. <br />3. Personal contact and in person interviews of all parties deemed to be significant. These <br />parties include, but are not limited to family, close personal friends, co-workers, <br />employers, past and present. <br />4. Knox Investigations will interview each candidate at the start of the background <br />process. <br />Package/Pricing <br />City of Pleasanton Police Department personnel will conduct the Pre-Employment <br />Interview to determine the suitability of the candidate. If it is determined a background <br />investigation is warranted, Knox Investigations will complete the background <br />investigation. <br />The cost for this service would be a flat fee of $1,800.00 for Police Officer and $1,600 <br />for Public Safety Dispatcher. <br />a. Knox Investigations will charge the current IRS Standard Mileage Rate <br />(currently .655 cents) per mile for necessary travel during investigations. The <br />travel included is for neighborhood checks, contacts of employers, etc. <br />Reimbursement will be sought after the investigation. This mileage <br />reimbursement rate is an industry-standard. <br />b.
