Title. <br />This chapter shall be called the "Housing Opportunity Zone (HOZ) District" ordinance of the <br />city of Pleasanton. <br />(Ord. 2272, 12/19/2023) <br />§ 18.38.020. Purpose. <br />The purpose of this chapter is to enhance the public welfare and ensure further housing <br />development attains the city's housing goals, including affordable housing, by increasing the <br />production of residential units for all income levels. To ensure the remaining developable land <br />is utilized in a manner consistent with the city's housing policies and needs, this HOZ district is <br />created to allow new or expanded affordable housing development opportunities to all <br />applicable parcels as specified in the city's Housing Element of the General Plan. These new or <br />expanded opportunities shall apply to both ownership and rental projects. <br />(Ord. 2272, 12/19/2023)
