ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE WASTE AND RECYCLING MANAGER POSITION AND AMENDING THE FY 2024/25 OPERATING BUDGET ACCORDINGLY WHEREAS, the City adopted the FY 2023/24 – FY 2024/25 Two-Year Operating and Capital Budget on June 6, 2023; and WHEREAS, at a public hearing on May 21, 2024 the City approved Mid-Term Operating and Capital Budget adjustments for FY 2024/25; and WHEREAS, at a public hearing on May 21, 2024, the City approved a cost-based Rate Adjustment for solid waste, recyclable materials, and organic materials collection for fiscal year 2024/25; and WHEREAS, including City of Pleasanton Staff costs in the amount of $500,000 was agreed upon as part of the approved cost-based Rate Adjustment, to support staff positions, including a new Waste and Recycling Manager position to oversee the City’s waste and recycling program. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1: Amends the Mid-Term Operating Budget adjustments for FY 2024/25 to add a Waste and Recycling Manager position. SECTION 2: Updates the Salary Schedule to include salary information for the new Waste and Recycling Manager classification. SECTION 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on August 20, 2024.
