Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />The Library and Civic Arts commissions should be prepared to discuss the ad hoc <br />subcommittee assignments and select one representative from each commission. All <br />commissioners are eligible to serve as representatives on the subcommittee. The <br />subcommittee meeting will be held at an agreed-upon monthly date and time from September <br />2024 through February 2025. Selected representatives should be available to attend all <br />subcommittee meetings, participate in research of other neighboring city programs, conduct <br />analysis of the existing program, and summarize the subcommittee findings for a future joint <br />commission meeting. <br />All Library and Civic Arts commissioners will have a chance to hear a final report from the ad <br />hoc subcommittee at a joint meeting in early 2025, ahead of the potential launch of a spring <br />teen program recruitment. At that time, information about the proposed program goals will be <br />provided in a staff agenda report, as the basis for the commission discussion. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Subcommittee members from each of the City’s commissions provide a diverse perspective on <br />matters related to libraries and the arts. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach has been done in advance of this item. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />This action advances the following Citywide goal and strategy: <br /> <br /> ONE Pleasanton Citywide Strategic Plan <br />• Building a Community Where Everyone Belongs, Strategy 3 - Implement high-priority <br />items from the Library and Recreation Strategic Plan to continue to deliver activities and <br />programs that meet the needs and interests of the community. <br />o Library and Recreation Strategic Plan <br />▪ Goal D.
