<br />Library Commission Meeting Minutes Page 1 June 6, 2024 <br /> <br />Library Commission <br />Regular Meeting <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />June 6, 2024 – 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chair Sabatini called to order the regular meeting of the Library Commission at the Pleasanton <br />Library, 400 Old Bernal Ave, at 7:09 pm – The location changed due to the power outage at 200 <br />Old Bernal. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: Commissioners Dhillon, Emerson, Kimsey, Murphy, Chair Sabatini <br />Absent: None <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Lia Bushong provided an update on Item 6– Discussion: <br /> <br />P.A.S.S. reviews, evaluates, and comments on proposed public art pieces in the City of <br />Pleasanton on an as-needed basis. The subcommittee meets in the preliminary stages of a <br />public art project before the proposed piece moves to the commission for review and <br />recommendation to the City Council. P.A.S.S. members may include Civic Arts commissioners, <br />Parks and Recreation commissioners and City staff, depending on the nature and location of <br />the project. <br />Additional representatives may be requested to attend a specific P.A.S.S. meeting when a <br />project is related to their program area. In the month of June or July, staff is requesting that <br />one Library commissioner be selected to attend the upcoming P.A.S.S. meeting to review, <br />evaluate, and comment on a proposed donor art piece for possible placement at the <br />Pleasanton Public Library. <br /> <br />This is replaced with the following text: <br /> <br />The Library Commission should be prepared to discuss the committee assignment and select <br />one representative. All Library commissioners are eligible to serve as representatives on the <br />committee. The next P.A.S.S. meeting will be held at noon on an agreed-upon Friday in June or <br />July. Prior to the meeting, P.A.S.S. members are emailed the public art piece description being <br />considered and given time to review the piece and its proposed location. <br />Page 3 of 80
