CITY CLERK’S STATEMENT: For final maps, the following statement shall be included <br />on the cover sheet of the map: “I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk and Clerk of the Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California, do hereby state that this <br />final map entitled ““[MAP NAME/NUMBER]” consisting of [NUMBER OF SHEETS] <br />sheets, this statement being on Sheet [NUMBER] thereof, was presented to said <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton, as provided by law at a regular meeting held on the <br />[DAY] day of [MONTH], [YEAR] and that said Council of the City of Pleasanton did <br />thereupon by motion duly passed and adopted at said meeting, approved said map and <br />accepted on behalf of the public all parcels of land and easements as offered for <br />dedication to the City of Pleasanton for public use in conformity with the terms of the <br />offer of dedication. The names of the subdividers are as shown on the Owner’s <br />Statement upon Sheet 1. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this [DAY] <br />day of [MONTH], [YEAR]. Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk, City of Pleasanton, Alameda <br />County, State of California [SIGNATURE LINE]”. (Address this condition prior to final <br />map approval) <br /> <br />71. SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT: Public improvements required as part <br />of the subdivision must be either completed to the satisfactio n of the City Engineer prior <br />to map approval, or guaranteed by a Subdivision Agreement. The agreement requires <br />the applicant to post financial security in the form of either a cash deposit, letter of <br />credit, or surety bonds in amounts equivalent to the value of the public improvements. If <br />surety bonds are utilized, the form of the bond language shall be consistent with <br />California Government Code §66499.1 for faithful performance and §66499.2 for labor <br />and materials. The amounts of the bonds shall be 100% of the total estimated value of <br />the public improvements consistent with §66499.3. In addition, the City requires a <br />warranty bond (often referred to as a maintenance bond) for 10% of the estimated <br />value. The warranty bond shall be active for one -year following formal acceptance of the <br />improvements. All submitted securities are subject to review and approval by the City <br />Attorney. In addition, final maps and the associated Subdivision Agreement are subject <br />to approval by the City Council. (Address this condition prior to final map approval) <br /> <br />72. CITY SURVEYOR: The City utilizes the services of an outside consultant to certify the <br />technical accuracy of subdivision maps as City Land Surveyor pursuant to California <br />Government Code §66451.1. In order to provide this service, the consultant will submit a <br />proposal to the City for the estimated cost of the work. The estimate will be presented to <br />the applicant together with the City’s administrative markup according to the City’s <br />adopted Master Fee Schedule. Review of the subdivision map cannot commence until the <br />applicant has submitted payment to the City for these costs. If the ultimate fee at the <br />conclusion of the work is less than this payment, the applicant will be refunded the <br />difference.
