Ordinance No. 2280 <br />$100,000, and shall be held for a minimum of 1 year following acceptance of <br />public improvements or completion of construction, whichever is later, and shall <br />be forfeited if the trees are destroyed or substantially damaged. An arborist shall <br />be onsite during any tree work (i.e. root pruning, trimming, setting up tree <br />protection, etc.). The bond or security may be released early with a certification <br />letter by the arborist confirming he/she was present during said tree work and <br />work was performed in accordance with the arborist's recommendations. <br />(Project Specific Condition) <br />27 TREE PRUNING: Pruning shall be conducted by a certified arborist familiar with <br />the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) pruning guidelines and shall <br />comply with the guidelines established by the ISA, Tree Pruning Guidelines, <br />current edition, to maintain the health of the trees. <br />28 TREE PROTECTION FENCING: Prior to issuance of a grading or building <br />permit, the applicant shall install temporary 6 -foot tall chain-link fencing (or other <br />fence type acceptable to the Landscape Architecture Division) outside of the <br />existing tree drip lines. The location of the tree protection fencing shall be shown <br />on the demolition plans (if applicable), grading, building, and/or landscape plans. <br />The fencing shall remain in place until final landscape inspection by the <br />Landscape Architecture Division. Removal of such fencing prior to approval may <br />result in a "stop work order." <br />END <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />
