RESOLUTION NO. 2024-030 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DECLARING THE INTENTION TO ORDER IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE <br />LIGHTING & LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1984-1 <br />PONDEROSA FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/25; DECLARING THE INTENTION TO <br />CONTINUE THE LEVY AND COLLECTION ASSESSMENTS; AND SETTING <br />THE DATE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has described proposed improvements <br />to be included for the determination of annual assessments levied for Lighting and <br />Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1 Ponderosa, created under the Lighting & <br />Landscape Act of 1972, and ordered the preparation of an Engineer's Report to <br />determine the annual levy of assessments for such District; and <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the Engineer has filed with the City Clerk a Preliminary Engineer's Report for the <br />Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1 Ponderosa for Fiscal Year <br />2024/25. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Engineer is designated by this Council as the Engineer of Work <br />for Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1, Ponderosa, during fiscal year <br />2024/25. The area of land to be assessed is located in the City of Pleasanton, Alameda County. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council intends to continue to levy and collect assessments <br />within Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1984-1, Ponderosa, during fiscal year <br />2024/25. <br />SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are generally <br />described as follows: <br />Maintenance of a landscaped strip north of Corte de Flores on the west side of Paseo <br />Santa Cruz and north of Corte Pacifica on the east side of Paseo Santa Cruz and the <br />landscaped area on the east side of the Arroyo de la Laguna trail between the Pleasanton <br />Canal and Arroyo del Valle. <br />SECTION 4. In accordance with this resolution directing the filing of an annual report, <br />the City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk the report required by the Landscaping and <br />Lighting Act of 1972. All interested persons are referred to that report for a full and <br />detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessments upon assessable <br />lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. <br />SECTION 5. On Tuesday, the 18th day of June 2024, at the hour of 7 p.m., the City <br />Council will conduct a public hearing on the question of the levy of the proposed annual <br />
