RESOLUTION NO. 2024-031 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DECLARING THE INTENTION TO ORDER IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE LIGHTING <br />& LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1993-1 WINDSOR FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2024/25; DECLARING THE INTENTION TO CONTINUE THE LEVY AND <br />COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS; AND SETTING THE DATE FOR THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has described proposed improvements to be <br />included for the determination of annual assessments levied for Lighting and Landscape <br />Maintenance District No. 1993-1 Windsor, created under the Lighting & Landscape Act of <br />1972, and ordered the preparation of an Engineer's Report to determine the annual levy of <br />assessments for such District; and <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the Engineer has filed with the City Clerk a Preliminary Engineer's Report for the <br />Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-1 Windsor for Fiscal Year 2024/25. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Engineer is designated by this Council as the Engineer of <br />Work for Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-1, Windsor, during fiscal year <br />2024/25. The area of land to be assessed is located in the City of Pleasanton, Alameda <br />County. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council intends to continue to levy and collect <br />assessments within Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-1 Windsor, <br />during fiscal year 2024/25. <br />SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are <br />generally described as follows: <br />Maintenance of the masonry walls, trees, shrubbery, groundcover, and irrigation systems <br />situated on the northeast side of Tapestry Way and Minton Court, Lot A in the northwest <br />corner of the subdivision and also Lot C in the southwest corner of the subdivision. <br />SECTION 4. In accordance with this resolution directing the filing of an annual <br />report, the City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk the report required by the Landscaping <br />and Lighting Act of 1972. All interested persons are referred to that report for a full and <br />detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessments upon <br />assessable lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. <br />SECTION 5. On Tuesday, the 18th day of June 2024, at the hour of 7:00 pm, the <br />City Council will conduct a public hearing on the question of the levy of the proposed <br />annual assessment. The Council meeting will be held in accordance with Government <br />Code Section 54954(e). To improve access to public information, residents may access <br />meetings remotely through the City's website. <br />
