RESOLUTION NO. 2024-032 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DECLARING THE INTENTION TO ORDER IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE LIGHTING <br />& LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1993-2 BONDE RANCH FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2024/25; DECLARING THE INTENTION TO CONTINUE THE LEVY <br />AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS; AND SETTING THE DATE FOR THE <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has described proposed improvements to be <br />included for the determination of annual assessments levied for Lighting and Landscape <br />Maintenance District No. 1993-2 Bonde Ranch, created under the Lighting & Landscape Act <br />of 1972, and ordered the preparation of an Engineer's Report to determine the annual levy of <br />assessments for such District; and <br />WHEREAS, as required by Section 22622 of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, the Engineer has filed with the City Clerk a Preliminary Engineer's Report for the <br />Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-2 Bonde Ranch for Fiscal Year <br />2024/25. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Engineer is designated by this Council as the Engineer of <br />Work for Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-2, Bonde Ranch, during <br />fiscal year 2024/25. The area of land to be assessed is located in the City of Pleasanton, <br />Alameda County. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council intends to continue to levy and collect assessments <br />within Lighting & Landscape Maintenance District No. 1993-2, Bonde Ranch, during fiscal <br />year 2024/25. <br />SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are <br />generally described as follows: <br />The maintenance and repair of designated landscaped areas, open space slopes, fuel <br />transition zones (fire breaks), entry features, open space drainage ditches, irrigation systems, <br />trees in the open space and designated landscape areas, and the furnishing of water and <br />power for irrigation systems, together with all appurtenance and incidental expenses within <br />Tract 6483 and Tract 6518, City of Pleasanton. <br />SECTION 4. In accordance with this resolution directing the filing of an annual <br />report, the City Engineer has filed with the City Clerk the report required by the <br />Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. All interested persons are referred to that report for <br />a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessments <br />upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. <br />SECTION 5. On Tuesday, the 18th day of June 2024, at the hour of 7:00 pm, the <br />City Council will conduct a public hearing on the question of the levy of the proposed <br />
