PLEA''ANTC)N, <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, May 7, 2024 <br />5:00 PM <br />Mayor Brown called the Special Meeting Workshop of the City Council to order at the <br />hour of 5:00 p.m. from the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br />Absent: None <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown <br />closed the public comment <br />WORKSHOP <br />Present initial findings and receive policy direction on Development Impact Fees, <br />inclusionary housing requirements and Lower -Income Housing Fees, and City <br />water and sewer connection fees <br />Recommendation: Present initial findings and receive policy direction on <br />Development Impact Fees, inclusionary housing requirements and Lower -Income <br />Housing Fees, and City water and sewer connection fees <br />1. Set Sewer and Water Connection Fees at, or close to, the maximum. <br />2. Set inclusionary rate at 15% for all projects; set in -lieu Affordable Housing <br />Fee as close to cost to construct as feasible. <br />3. Set CFF and TIF fees at a financially feasible level. <br />The City Council provided direction regarding the recommendations as follows: <br />1. Council agreed to the recommendation with the clarification that connection <br />fees for residential is calculated per unit, but other categories are calculated <br />by square foot. <br />2. Council requested this item be revisited for future discussion, with the <br />percentage to a somewhere between 15-20%.
