Re: 2207 Martin Ave (P24 0278) Update
Manish Shrivastava
Mon 5/13/2024 7:05 PM
To: Diego Mora <DMora@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
*** [EXTERNAL] This message comes from an external organization. Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking links,
especially from unknown senders. ***
Hi Diego
Thanks for the update . I will not be able to attend the meeting but would like to reiterate my concern
.
1. intersection of Picard and Newton behind the property is what I am mainly concerned about.
People walking back with kids and dogs from Mohr park late evenings are hard to see especially if the
lights can distract drivers
2. There is no sidewalk behind 2207 so everyone is crossing Picard to go towards Newton .
3. The Newton way sharp turn is very narrow
So any split second distraction is very dangerous. If the city decides to put a stop sign with pedestrian
lights for Picard crossing and a stop sign on Newton sharp turn to reduce the speed then it may be ok
. Else if the lights are tall and can even distract the drivers for a split second that is dangerous .
City can decide to put a side walk behind these houses and that could reduce the foot traffic from
crossing the Picard / Newton intersection
Thank you
————————
Best Regards
Manish Shrivastava
On May 13, 2024, at 11:02, Diego Mora <DMora@cityofpleasantonca.gov> wrote:
Good Morning,
You are receiving this email because you have expressed a public comment for the project at
2207 Mar n Avenue Administra ve Design Review applica on to install tennis court
ligh ng.
