From:W Ron Sutton
To:Sachiko Riddle
Subject:A- P24-0198, Tri-Valley Judo
Date:Tuesday, May 14, 2024 10:12:22 AM
*** [EXTERNAL] This message comes from an external organization. Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking
links, especially from unknown senders. ***
Howdy, Planning Division.
I received a postcard notice of a public hearing re Tri-Valley Judo (TVJ)
Application for Conditional Use Permit approval.
TVJ is currently operating nearby in the same zoning district, and moving about 150 yards to a
different space.
The notice received makes the move approval request look like a new application from
scratch.
As a business person, I'm surprised that personal time and calendar time and $ have to be
spent by the City and applicant for such a request.
If other business owners are as busy as I am, we don't know what the issues are upon which
we are to be commenting. And, don't have the time nor expertise to read ordinances to
determine those issues.
In this City, the most likely area of comment would be parking. Since the 1262 Quarry Ln
Suite A space is next door to my Suite B space I know parking is not an issue if customers use
the abundant street parking near the front door. The same as they do for Kids Against Hunger,
Suite H, at the other end of these two buildings.
If there is frequent amplified sound during normal business hours, that could be disruptive of
normal business communications and on telephones. But, for my company, ACCUSPLIT, our
normal business hours thru the end of 2024, for sure, are 6:30am to 3 pm.
Be Active & Be Well,
Ron
W.
