3200 Hopyard Road Redevelopment – Transportation Assessment
January 2, 2024
7

Intersection Level of Service Results
INTERSECTION LEVEL OF SERVICE ANALYSIS – EXISTING CONDITIONS
Existing intersection lane configuration and turning movement volume are used to calculate the level for service for the study intersections during the peak hour. Figure 1 shows the existing lane configurations and traffic controls in the study area. Peak hour turning movement volumes for Existing Conditions are shown in Figure 2. The turning movement counts are provided in Appendix A..
The results of the level of service analysis using the Synchro 11 software program for Existing
Conditions are summarized in Table 5. Under this scenario, all of the study intersections operate at acceptable LOS C or better during the a.m. and p.m. peak hours.
LOS reports are provided in Appendix B.
Table 5: Intersection Level of Service Analysis – Existing Conditions
No Intersection Control
Type
Peak
Hour
Existing Conditions
Delay (S/Veh) Delay-Based LOS
1 Hopyard Rd. & Valley Ave. Signal a.m. 23.8 C
p.m. 28.6 C
2 Hopyard Rd. & S.
