RESOLUTION NO. 2024-016 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> THE LOCAL CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE, AND UPDATING THE LIST OF <br /> DESIGNATED POSITIONS REQUIRED TO FILE STATEMENTS OF ECONOMIC <br /> INTERESTS <br /> WHEREAS, the California Political Reform Act requires each public agency to adopt a <br /> local Conflict of Interest Code (see Cal. Government Code §§87306 and 87306.5); and <br /> WHEREAS, the California Fair Political Practices Commission ("FPPC") has a Model <br /> Local Conflict of Interest Code at Title 2 Cal. Code of Regulations §18730 that can be incorporated <br /> by reference by any city or county as its Local Conflict of Interest Code, which the City did by <br /> Resolution No. 22-1329; and <br /> WHEREAS, such local Conflict of Interest Code designates employees and elected and <br /> appointed officials who are involved in governmental decision-making, and requires some of them <br /> to make certain public disclosures regarding their sources of income (such as investments, <br /> interests in real property and business positions), in order to avoid potential conflicts of interest. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton, <br /> that the FPPC's Model Code, attached as Exhibit A and any amendments to it duly adopted by <br /> the FPPC, and Appendices A and B, are hereby incorporated by reference and shall constitute <br /> the Local Conflict of Interest Code for the City. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that persons holding designated positions listed in the <br /> Appendices shall file Statements of Economic Interest pursuant to Section 5 of the Local Conflict <br /> of Interest Code with the information required for the disclosure categories assigned to them. The <br /> City Clerk shall retain the statements and make them available upon public request. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on April 16, 2024. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 16th day of April 2024, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Joc I n Kwo g, Ity Clerk <br /> APP OVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Daniel G.
