RESOLUTION NO. 2024-014 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO UPDATE FEES FOR SMALL WIRELESS FACILITY <br /> APPLICATIONS, AND FINES FOR FALSE ALARMS <br /> WHEREAS, the fees to process a small wireless facility application were adopted in 2019 <br /> and have not been updated since that time. Fees are being increased to reflect inflation from 2019 <br /> to 2024, and then to provide for an annual inflation adjustment thereafter; and <br /> WHEREAS, false alarm fines have not been updated since 1985, and since 95% of alarms <br /> are false, that continues to squander police resources. False alarm fines are being increased to <br /> reflect current police response costs, provide for an annual inflation adjustment, and encourage <br /> proper alarm system operation. "I <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Amends the Master Fee Schedule as follows: <br /> Section ll. Planning Division, Subsection B. Application Fees: <br /> Small Wireless Facility Application PMC 18.110* <br /> In the Public Right-of-Way $4,348 <br /> On private property $4,088 <br /> *These application fees shall be adjusted annually on January 1St based on the change in the <br /> Consumer Price Index (CPI)for the San Francisco/Oakland region, rounded to the nearest dollar. <br /> Section V. Police, Subsection A. General: <br /> First false alarm in prior 365-day period $0 <br /> False Alarm Fine* Second or third false alarm in prior 365-day period $196 <br /> Fourth or more false alarm in prior 365-day period $392 <br /> *Such fine amounts shall be adjusted annually on January 1St based on the change in the <br /> Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the San Francisco/Oakland region, rounded to the nearest <br /> dollar. <br /> SECTION 2.
